Positive Thoughts All Around!!!!

So we are now in our TWW period and just like last month, I have tons of butterflies in my tummy.  I CANNOT wait to test positive!!!

A few weeks ago I got one of the most amazing phone calls ever from my very good friend Stacie.  You may remember since she and I swapped blogs for a day about 2 months ago.  Stacie and her husband Bryan had been trying for FOUR years to conceive and now their wait is finally over...SHE'S PREGNANT!!!!!! I'm OVER THE MOON happy for them and the news just makes me want my own that much more...so we can be pregnant at the same time.  HOW AWESOME WOULD  THAT BE??? So if you haven't already...head on over to her blog to wish her a HUGE congrats!!!!!  Jelly Bean Grahn (my official nickname for baby Grahn), Auntie Daisy loves you already <3


In OTHER happy news.....I have another friend, we'll call her C, who recently went through IVF and found out a few weeks ago that she too is pregnant!!!! YAY!!!!!!  I'm just sooo happy for everyone it's an amazing feeling being a part of someone else's TTC journey.  It makes me MORE excited for my own!!!

Gloomy Days

So lately the weather where I am (Vancouver BC Canada) has been plain old GLOOMY.  We've had probably only 3 straight days of real sun (clear, blue skies...typical summer for us) and the rest of what we call SUMMER so far has been super cloudy.  The gloomy white clouds and cold breeze has been giving me a HUGE headache and sore back.  It always looks like it's going to rain so going out for a walk with Tobey is 50-50.  I just want SUN....like this...

Puppy Sitting Galore - Photoblog!

Hey everyone! I've been SUPER busy the last little while.  There've been weddings to go to and I've been puppy sitting non-stop for a week and LOVE it!!  It's so nice for Tobey to have friends around!  Yesterday we went to Stanley Park for a 3 hour walk with 3 dogs and then came home an napped for 3 hours HAHA I'm pleased to say that I got a mini tan! The weather in Vancouver has been COLD and we've rarely had any sun at all so it was super nice to spend a Sunday in the hot summer sun! Here are some CUTE photos!

Blog Officially PRIVATE!!!

I've gone private!! If you're able to read this then it means you've made the list and you're my VIP!!!!  I honestly didn't realize SO many people were following my blog!! I'm so flattered by all the emails I got from people I never knew were reading asking to stay as followers and telling me how much they loved reading my blog.  Thank you =)  I love to write, always have, and this blog gives me a creative outlet as well as a place for me to share my life with those who care enough to read.  I appreciate each and every one of you!!!

PS - Ovulation testing starts tomorrow!!!!! Can't wait to see the double lines again so we can get going on making babies HAHA!!! Will keep y'all posted!!

TTC Update....

Simply put, out TTC status is that we're still trying.  Aunt Flo arrived last week so no, we're not pregnant.  We're totally going to just keep trying every month.  Taking O tests and getting it on when needed. 

Not that we've lost hope or anything (come on, we've only tried ONCE) but Ed and I know a LOT of people who have had difficulties TTC and we want to prepare for the worse scenario IF it happens to us.  Because being hopeful and expectant doesn't mean being naive I feel that I should at least be prepared for problems even if they don't happen.  We decided to keep trying until the end of September and if for whatever reason we're not pregnant yet we will stop trying the way we are trying and take a mini break.  If you know me you'll know that if we're not pregnant by then I'll probably start getting a little bit worried.  I want to prevent myself from feeling overwhelmed and that's why we came up with this idea.  We would stop trying (and who knows we COULD still get pregnant after that!) and plan a big trip for March (spring break).  This way we can have something positive to look forward to/be excited about and either way it will be WIN-WIN for us.  Off the top of our heads New York or Miami/Disney World would be where we would head off to.   

So I'll be doing a TTC update every month...and this month was a negative but O testing starts in a few days for me so who knows...I COULD get pregnant THIS time!!!!  Keep us in your prayers for a healthy baby soon!

We bought this tree photo frame wall art a few months ago and it had been sitting empty....finally it's filled!!!

Happy Birthday to my Hubs!

Today is my hubby's 29th birthday.  I LOVE this photo of him...it shows off his personality so well...playful, young at heart, fun and ADORABLE!  

This was back in 2008 before we were engaged.  

I can honestly say that Ed is PERFECT for me.  Yes he has flaws and there are things about him I can't stand but I really think we were made especially for each other.  Before I met him I was on a 1 year drought in the boyfriend department and I was getting realllllly upset with God because all my life I dreamed about finding Prince Charming and I was 25 years old and he still was not in my life.  Now I look back and everything makes sense.  I'm SO glad God planned it the way he did and I'm so grateful for having Ed in my life.   I'm ONE LUCKY GIRL!!!!!!

This song was played at a wedding I went to last week...I've heard it before but never looked it up to listen in FULL...but I LOVE it!!  Totally what I feel for Ed!!!  

Yummy Mummy!

So this blog is a semi-guest blogger post!  I recently met and started following Sara's log 'Miss Ahn's Beauty Reviews' and we've become friends on Facebook.  I asked her if she could do up a post giving tips on how to be a Yummy Mummy after giving birth. 

 I came up with this idea because a good friend of mine were talking one day and we were saying how we reallllllly hope that when we become mothers we don't totally just let ourselves 'go' (as in stop caring about the way we look, dressed, smelled....).  Just because you're a new mom does NOT mean you need to look like a hot mess right??  I know priorities will change once a baby is in your life but we still need to maintain our own personal styles and sense of self.  This post was done for those new moms out there who want/need a beauty boost!!  Head on over to Sara's blog for the latest reviews of the latest beauty products and tips! **You'll have to click on it to see it  better....it's rather small...**

Happy 2 Year Anniversary To Us!!!

Today is our 2 year wedding anniversary!!!!

If I had to sum up the last 2 years in one word it would be FUN.

Time sure flies by!! In the 2 short years we've been married we've done some pretty fun stuff together...trips(Hawaii, Vegas, California...and other local places), milestones (puppy and house) and celebrations (jobs, school).

It's been great living together, just the 2 of us (with Tobey) but we're sooo looking forward to starting the next chapter in our family...a baby (no, I'm NOT pregnant yet...but hopefully this year will be the year!).  I'm really excited about all the new changes that could come and I know that no matter what the challenges we face in the future we will have tons of FUN.

  

I was at a wedding 2 days ago and I really miss being a bride.  When I got home we talked about perhaps having a 10 year wedding renewal thing.  YAY! 

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life!!! I love you so so much!!  You are PERFECT for me and I am so glad God made us for each other.  He did me proud and I thank Him everyday for such a blessing!

Canada Day Long Weekend Getaway!

I'm back everyone!!!!  I'm feeling all ready for summer after our long weekend getaway!!! Ed and I haven't been away since before Christmas so it was nice to get away and relax a bit!!!!  

Highlights of our trip.....

• I've NEVER had a hotel room with a KITCHEN before....it was great not having to eat out every night...saved a TON of money!!!
• Tobey was pretty stressed out for the first half of the trip.  When we arrived at Whistler it was POURING rain and he was SHAKING because he did NOT recognize ANYTHING.  The hotel we stayed at was pet-friendly so there were tons of other dogs in the building as well.  He spent the entire night awake and barking whenever another dog barked/someone walked by our room.  Poor guy didn't even SLEEP!! He did a LOT better the next night and slept all night the third night.  
• Ed and I went up on the Gondola and rode across the Peak to Peak...SO beautiful! It was great to see SNOW!!!
• The Canada Day parade was cute...I can't remember the last time I saw a parade!!!  Tobey totally was into it and just watched the whole thing...so cute!
• I had THE best burger EVER at Splitz Grill....you need to go if you haven't!!
• It was great seeing all the Olympic stuff since the last time we were up at Whistler was 2 years BEFORE the Olympics....so cool!!
