Baby Shower...GIRL style!!!!!!!!

So our baby shower was March 24, 2012! It was a co-ed shower and it was amazing! I still can't believe that I'm where I am in my life right now....married with a baby one the way.  I've dreamt of being where I am now since I was a little girl.  It was great seeing all my friends and family...some of whom I haven't seen since BEFORE I got pregnant so it was super fun seeing everyone's reactions to my belly!! We feel another step closer to her arrival! Here are some photos of our day!

34th Week Update and Belly Pic!

Symptoms: Heartburn in the middle of the night and fatigue.  OH big news...I threw up for the first time today...at 4:30am this morning! I officially can no longer brag about no throwing up my entire pregnancy.  

Mood: I think I'm starting to get a bit hormonal/emotional/upset/WEIRD over small things these days.  Sometimes I'm super happy, sometimes I'm super upset.  WEIRD!

Cravings: Nothing too much...

Bump Measurement: 38 inches!

Weight: 110 lbs!

34 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!

3 weeks vs 34 weeks!!

Nursery Transformation (PART 1)!!!!!

So I figured I should start posting pictures of the nursery....because there are going to be SO many pics later on and I rather it up and do a few posts about it rather than one big one! So THIS post is all about the first few changes that took place! I wish I took a BEFORE photo of when the room was still an office...but I came home from work one day and Ed had moved everything out already...NOT complaining!!!  Anyways...here we go!!!

Before we did anything...

 

This was Ed's first time painting EVER! First stroke of paint going on....

Finished painting and he even put up the chandelier!!

We got the shelf done for the closet (the closet is painted in a darker pink...the paint we originally wanted to use for the stripes in the room but we decided against the stripes)...the baby clothes hangers are velvet!!!  

Up goes the drapery! The rod is a bit short but I guess it's ok...

Went out the next day and got the mattress (still need to get a mattress pad but

I can add that in later hehehe)! I put the bedding in and brought up everything else that was 

downstairs in bags that belonged to Evelyn! Washed/hung her clothes and 

put out toys and decorations.

33rd Week Update and Belly Pic!

Symptoms: SUPER TIRED again!! And my poor belly is SUPER itchy....a bit of rash starting up from scratching =(

Mood: A bit cranky these days because I'm so tired and my sleep just SUCKS! 

Cravings: Not much....VERY hungry often...especially in the middle of the night, which contributes to the sucky sleep! 

Bump Measurement: 37.75 inches (grew .25 inches) 

Weight: 112 lbs! Gained about 2 lbs!!
So today we finished up our prenatal classes!!! I also went to my last monthly doctors visit on Friday...moving on to bi-weekly visits now! 2 of those and then onto my weekly ones!! CRAZY! I'll only be seeing my doctor for 6 more times before my due date is here...hopefully I won't be overdue!!!  OH! And the doctor has confirmed that baby's head is down!!!!
The nursery is WELL on it's way....I will do a post about it soon....might do one sooner and then another one once it's all done!!  It's looking like a princess room for SURE!! LOVE IT!!!

32nd Week Update and Belly Pic!

Symptoms: TONS of Braxton Hicks!!!!  

Mood: Tired...again

Cravings: Not too much!

Bump Measurement: 37.5 inches....holy 1 inch gain??!!  

Weight: 110lbs....no gain...weird...

8 months!!!!!!!

week 3 vs week 32!!!!

I can't believe I'm 8 months now!!!! Only 2 more months to go (hopefully less!).  People keep asking me why I hope my due date will be sooner than it is....2 reasons....
1) When I first found out I was pregnant my doctor calculated that my due date would be April 17th (which would have made me 34.5 weeks pregnant now) but after our first ultrasound we were given May 4th as the official due date.  But to me it just doesn't totally make sense?  I'd get it if the due dates were like a week apart but 2.5 weeks?? That's more than half a month!  That's why since then I have thought my due date to be more along the lines of the last week of April...rather than the first week of May.  
2) Mother's Day is May 13th this year. There's nothing I'd love more to have my baby the last week of April and a good 2 weeks to rest up/heal/adjust before my first Mother's Day.  It'd be so nice to be able to go out for lunch with MY mom AND my baby girl for Mother's Day this year.  Plus I don't want to share Mother's Day with my daughter's birthday every year LOL


We started our prenatal classes today!!!! It's 1 of 2 classes (next and last class is next week).  It was amazing!!! We're taking our class through Birth Transitions.  We learned all about the stages of labour and what exactly goes on during all that time.  It's so nice to KNOW what will be happening.  I think it actually makes me less scared going in.  I mean, yes it'll be painful, but at least I now have milestones to look forward to and I'll know I'm that much closer to meeting my baby girl!! On the other hand...poor Ed LOL.  We watched 3 birthing videos throughout the day and the first one that was on he was TOTALLY in shock and clenching.  I had to comfort him telling HIM that it's ok HAHA.  He totally left class feeling VERY appreciative of what I'm going to be going through and I think him going through that will help him be a great support when the time comes.  We have been talking a LOT about how I want the room/my environment to be when I'm in labour.  I'm so excited!


We also will be having our hospital visit/registration in a couple of days too! The 'real' stuff are finally happening and I think after this month (my last monthly doctor visits, baby shower is in the next few weeks and not to mention the nursery will be pretty much complete AND everyone I know who are pregnant and due before me will be having their babies...if they haven't already!!) it will REALLLLLLY sink in that baby is set to arrive soon!  I'm getting more and more excited as the weeks fly by!!!  

31st Week Update and Belly Pic!

Symptoms: Belly is SUPER itchy!!!!

Mood: Tired...and itchy!!!

Cravings: Oranges this week!

Bump Measurement: 36.5 inches...no change!!

Weight: 108 lbs....hmm I lost weight???

31 weeks!!

So as I'm typing this up Ed has started painting the nursery!!!! Also today after church we went to TJ's because we saw online yesterday that carseats were on sale...and they were...along with strollers!!!! They're clearing out 2011 models to make room for the new 2012 ones so we took up the opportunity and bought our carseat and stroller!!!! We got the carseat we had always wanted but ended up going with a different stroller....a much cuter one too!!!

when the seat is turned into a bassinet....yes the seat TURNS into it so we don't have
to get a separate one!! Also this means we won't have to get a carseat adaptor for
the stroller and I won't have to be lifting the carseat back and forth from
car to stroller!!!

9 weeks to go!!!!!! Not too much happening this week other than getting the nursery painted and baby shower invitations being sent out!!!  Here's some fun photos we took at the store and of Ed painting!!
